UrbanFox launches new features to empower ecommerce retailers

• UrbanFox Store introduces new B2B segments to tap into the B2B ecommerce market
• Seamless backend integration with UrbanFox Multi-Channel Commerce Platform and UrbanFox Delivery Platform

Singapore, 16 March 2018 - B2C (business to consumer) and B2B (business to business) retailers looking to list on ecommerce platforms like Lazada and Shopee have more reason to cheer with the launch of new features by UrbanFox, an omnichannel logistics and channel management solutions provider. The new features being rolled out by UrbanFox include the UrbanFox Store, UrbanFox Multi-Channel Commerce Platform and the UrbanFox Delivery Platform, which promises to streamline the ecommerce supply chain experience for its customers.

UrbanFox Store
UrbanFox has seen strong demand for ecommerce in Singapore. Since its launch in October 2017, it has successfully delivered innovative omnichannel logistics and channel management solutions to more than 60 brands. As mobile device adoption rates continue to grow in Singapore and globally, consumer preferences for online shopping will continue to fuel ecommerce market growth. Global B2C ecommerce sales reached US$2.3 trillion in 2017 and is expected to hit US$4.5 trillion in 2021.

This figure is dwarfed by B2B ecommerce, which registered sales of US$7.7 trillion in 2017 alone1. Unsurprisingly, B2C ecommerce's high adoption rates have contributed to B2B ecommerce's success, with 86% of B2B buyers preferring self-service tools characteristic of B2C channels when renewing orders2.

To tap the industry's growth potential, UrbanFox will refresh its existing UrbanFox Marketplace currently serving the B2C segment to include a B2B marketplace as well. The refreshed platform, UrbanFox Store (www.urbanfox.store) will simplify the procurement process for purchasers while giving suppliers a one-stop digital platform to showcase their products across online multiple marketplaces.

Mr Joe Choa, Managing Director of UrbanFox said, "The growing popularity of ecommerce has changed the way that people shop, including procurement processes and the sourcing of suppliers online. UrbanFox Store aims to be a useful online platform for suppliers and purchasers alike in product and price discovery, helping streamline the buying process."

On the back end or the UrbanFox Store, B2C and B2B retailers working with UrbanFox will be able to take charge of their end-to-end supply chain from inventory management to online retail presence and last-mile delivery with the introduction of the UrbanFox Multi-Channel Commerce Platform and UrbanFox Delivery Platform.

The platforms feature a self-service interface that will be integrated with online marketplaces that UrbanFox has partnered, such as Lazada and Shopee. Customers on the platforms will be able to manage various touchpoints in their ecommerce business using this one-stop platform. This significantly reduces the time and effort to manage multiple marketplaces with disparate interfaces and systems for inventory management as well as last-mile fulfilment.

Mr Choa added, "UrbanFox has helped retailers ride the ecommerce trend by empowering them with a one-stop suite of ecommerce solutions that enable them to stay competitive in online markets. Our integration with Keppel Logistics allows us to provide comprehensive end-to-end solutions to our customers. With these new product launches, we are confident that UrbanFox can help our customers meet their goals. Following initial success with clients in Singapore, we hope to offer our effective omnichannel logistics and channel management solutions to retailers across Southeast Asia this year."

UrbanFox has developed its refreshed platform and capabilities with the support of the Capability Development Grant (CDG) from SPRING Singapore. The CDG supports SMEs in scaling up business capabilities and ensuring business sustainability. The company has also been working closely with International Enterprise (IE) Singapore to capture the growing ecommerce market in Southeast Asia.

Said Mr Law Chung Ming, Group Director for Transport & Logistics, IE Singapore, "We congratulate UrbanFox on the launch of the new Multi-Channel Platform and updated features on the UrbanFox Store and Delivery Platform. Such continuous innovation and tech adoption enables them to stay competitive and capture new opportunities. At the same time, their digital solutions allow their customers, especially SMEs, to manage business operations more efficiently. IE Singapore, moving forward as Enterprise Singapore, will continue to partner UrbanFox in their capability development and internationalisation plans."
