Keppel Land enters into strategic partnership with the Singapore Business Federation

Keppel Land Limited (Keppel Land) and the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) have today entered into a strategic partnership agreement to cooperate on the GlobalConnect@SBF initiative[1]. The agreement will recognise Keppel Land as a strategic partner of SBF, for all of Keppel Land’s existing KLOUD serviced co-offices located in Singapore and other ASEAN countries. As part of the partnership, SBF has established two overseas offices – Singapore Enterprise Centre@Jakarta (SEC@Jakarta) and Singapore Enterprise Centre@Ho Chi Minh City (SEC@HCMC). The SECs are located in KLOUD serviced co-offices located in Saigon Centre in Ho Chi Minh City and International Financial Centre Jakarta.

Singapore’s Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr Chan Chun Sing, was the Guest-of-Honour at the signing ceremony. The agreement was signed between Mr Louis Lim, CEO of Keppel Land, and Mr Lam Yi Young, CEO of SBF, and witnessed by Minister Chan Chun Sing, Mr Loh Chin Hua, CEO of Keppel Corporation and Chairman of Keppel Land, as well as Mr Gan Seow Kee, Vice Chairman and Honorary Treasurer of SBF and Chairman of the GlobalConnect@SBF Committee.

Mr Ben Lee, Chief Operating Officer, Keppel Land, said, “We are glad to partner SBF to offer flexible space solutions and support the growth of Singapore companies as they expand their presence overseas. As tenants look for more flexible lease tenures and adaptable spaces amid COVID-19, Keppel Land is well-positioned to offer such core-and-flex space solutions under our KLOUD brand. As both landlord[2] and operator of KLOUD, we are able to readily meet the evolving needs of tenants and offer flexible space solutions to facilitate the internationalisation of Singapore enterprises.”

Mr Darius Lim, Assistant CEO of SBF, said, “This partnership with Keppel Land is one of our first two pioneer strategic partnerships. Bringing onboard large Singapore companies as partners enables us to offer a more comprehensive suite of solutions to support our SMEs when they venture overseas.  With in-market presence and local market advisors based in Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh City, SBF will be in an even stronger position to help Singapore companies establish their presence, build the right networks and seize opportunities in these key markets.”

KLOUD is Keppel Land’s new generation serviced co-office that leverages technology and caters to companies looking for flexible space solutions. Through KLOUD, Keppel Land is able to meet additional space requirements of its existing building tenants as well as incubate new growth businesses before they take up permanent leases at Keppel Land’s commercial developments.

Under the strategic partnership, SBF members and Singapore companies referred by GlobalConnect@SBF will be able to access KLOUD serviced co-offices, which are conveniently located in prime business districts, to tap on services to grow their local presence in the markets. KLOUD offers customised solutions for small and medium enterprises embarking on exploratory business trips. These include rental of hot desks, office spaces, meeting facilities, business lounges and secretarial support services. Singapore businesses visiting SBF’s SEC@Jakarta and SEC@HCMC will be able to use KLOUD facilities while tapping on the in-market services of SBF’s local market advisors based in Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh City. GlobalConnect@SBF’s services at these centres range from deal origination to facilitation, business matching, business set-up and business trip planning services.

KLOUD is opening a new centre at the heart of Singapore’s financial district, at Great Eastern Centre. Occupying over 17,000 sf and taking up an entire level on the eighth floor, KLOUD’s newest centre boasts a generous selection of collaboration and meeting spaces, customisable fitted workspace for enterprises, as well as a variety of office suite sizes for growing businesses.
