"For a large conglomerate like Keppel, it is critical that we be able to harness the ideas and energy of staff from different business units in working towards common objectives.

"What better way to start than with our own scholars? They work in different business units. Coming together in an Alumnus, they have the potential to foster greater co-operation between our business units, yielding synergistic benefits for every one."

Executive Chairman Lim Chee Onn

The Keppel Scholars Alumni Association (KSAA) was formed on August 2001, with the goal of augmenting synergy and fueling networking across a multitude of Keppel business units.

The Association's objectives span a diverse range of ideals and pursuits, including the propagation of community services through a network amongst members.

In addition, KSAA drives various initiatives, engaging in business arrangements for the benefit of its members and the company.

It also promotes the professional development, welfare and well being of its members through various educational, social, recreational, sports, cultural, educational, social and recreational activities.

KSAA's activities are delegated into four key areas: Community Service, Professional Development, Social Development and Business.

The Community Service sub-group oversees the group-wide Keppel Volunteer programme while the Professional Development sub-group organises seminars and other events that raise the professional aptitude of members.

The Social Development sub-group scours for activities that strengthen bonds amongst Keppelites while the Business sub-group explores various business ideas and opportunities across the Keppel Group.

KSAA 's past activities include the organisation of events such as talks by personalities like Michelle Yeoh and Elizabeth Choy. Other activities include the organisation of basic and intermediate golf courses for Keppelites.

Membership is free and open to all Keppelites. Persons who have been conferred scholarships or sponsorships by Keppel to pursue undergraduate or post-graduate degree(s) may join as Ordinary Members whilst all other Keppelites may join as Associate Members or Honorary Members.
